Matt Callaway has 15 years experience in product strategy, marketing and online community at established companies and start-ups in the interactive entertainment and online media industries. Matt led global product strategy and marketing for AOL's Winamp, a leading media player with over 80 million monthly unique users. Prior to AOL, he worked at Electronic Arts as Director of Online Marketing and Community. Matt also worked as Director of Marketing and Community for SegaSoft's HEAT.net online gaming network. Matt was a co-creator of UGO, one of the first vertical advertising networks, later acquired by Hearst Interactive.
Head of Sales
Ken Margolis has over 25 years of media and advertising experience. He has positioned both emerging and established media products to grow revenue with a client base of top brands and their advertising agencies. Ken founded the first Interactive Rep firm in 1994, launching and running sales for the Ad Networks UGO.com and CliqNow.com, as well as many of the Internet's high profile media destinations including, Sony Online Entertainment, Sallie Mae, Mp3.com, Spin Magazine, and GameSpy.com. Prior to AppTap, Ken founded and managed Premium Network, Inc., a full-service online and promotions organization in San Francisco. Ken started his career leading advertising sales initiatives as VP Sales for Computer Currents Magazine, an early stage technology publication from the International Data Group (IDG). Ken also conceived and produced the very first Internet fundraising Auction in 1995 for the Save The Earth Foundation.
Head of Development
Rob Glista has over 12 years of experience developing software from small mobile apps to large scale enterprise applications with an emphasis on client side interactions with consumers and end users. For the last several years Rob has worked in the mobile app industry providing online solutions for application discovery, including devloping a technology platform for feature phone game emulation on the desktop. Previously Rob has worked developing financial applications for Fannie Mae and various agencies of the federal government. While at Raytheon, Rob helped develop complex integrated systems for the US government.
Michael Powers, Founder, started apptap to connect independent app developers to mobile app consumers and to utilize online social networks to further expand that market. As an independent app developer, he shipped applications for the first commercially available Java-enabled handsets for the Sprint network in 2002, winning awards from Motorola and Sun Microsystems. Turning to the smartphone market, his applications and games launched as top-sellers on the original T-Mobile Sidekick, and he later helped both Apple and Microsoft kick start their mobile developer outreach programs. Powers is a graduate of Princeton University.
